"The Needle and The Damage Done"
Many times, the nurses received men from injuries other than the conflict. Sometimes they even injured themselves. The story of an injury that Lynne received is better heard from her voice. With the hot, sweltering jungle conditions of Vietnam, hospitals often received men for issues that ranged from car accidents, to infectious diseases, Lynne describes the other reasons for hospitalization, such as,
“Terrorist activity, helicopter crashes accidents from gunshot wounds to jeep accidents.”
