" The Sound of Silence"
Around 58,200 American Lives were lost in the Vietnam War. The number of patients Lynne saw varied. The largest casualty amount that Lynne records was around 40.
58,000 troops died for various reasons. The main idea for the warfare of this time was to Inflict as much damage to the individual, as to have reinforcements arrive so that you can trap the enemy, and then create a battle of attrition. Some of the most horrific of these deaths were caused by burns from Napalm, NVA Booby Traps, and amputation from rockets and explosives.
Lynne talks about a time she was asked to grab something from a bag and found amputated arm dawning a wedding ring in the podcast.
